Get results in days, not monthsResults in days, not monthsGetPhound runs search rankings, the Google listing, paid ads and the website for companies that fix, maintain and install things inside people's houses: home services businesses, multi-service repair outfits, small remodel and punch-list crews, property care companies and the owner-operators who do a bit of everything. Your customers are rarely browsing. They have a loose cabinet door, a stained ceiling, a fence panel on the ground or a realtor's repair list due Friday. We make sure the one who answers fast, explains plainly and shows up is you. Pricing starts at $495 a month, billed monthly, with nothing due at the start and no term to sign.
Why this category is different
Walk through a week of calls at any home services company and you will hear two conversations. The first is a problem: water is dripping, a lock will not turn, the screen door fell off, the dishwasher leaked into the floor and somebody is coming to look at the house Saturday. That caller wants a human on the phone in minutes and will usually hire the first reasonable company that picks up. The second is a list: eleven small things the owner has been meaning to fix since spring, or the findings from an inspection, or a landlord turning over a unit. That caller will compare, ask about minimums, want a ballpark and take a few days to decide.
Most marketing for home services treats these as one lead. They are not. The urgent caller is moved by a visible phone number, a map listing that is open now and a promise about how fast someone arrives. The list caller is moved by a clear explanation of how estimates work, photos of finished jobs that look like their own house, a plain statement of what you will and will not do and a reason to trust a stranger with a free Saturday. When we plan a campaign for a home services company, we build both paths on purpose, because the pages, the ads and the follow-up that suit one will quietly lose the other.
The same home services business also has a third customer people forget: the one who already used you. Homeowners forget who fixed the deck rail two years ago unless they are reminded. Reviews, reminders and a simple maintenance membership turn a one-time repair into the number they call first next time.
Who is calling
| Customer | What they search | What is on their mind | What earns the booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| The emergency repair caller | "emergency home repair near me", "someone to fix a broken door today", "water damage repair help" | Stress, a deadline, no patience for a form | A number that connects, hours that are honest and a clear statement of which urgent jobs you take |
| The honey-do list owner | "handyman for small jobs", "odd jobs around the house", "honey do list help" | Too many little tasks and no weekend to spare | A page that explains bundled visits, minimums and how a list gets priced |
| The pre-sale homeowner | "home repairs before selling", "punch list contractor", "fix inspection report items" | A listing date and a repair request from a buyer | Speed, dependable scheduling and a way to send the inspection report |
| The landlord or property manager | "rental turnover repairs", "property maintenance contractor", "apartment make ready" | Many units, many small jobs, tight turns | A contact route for repeat work, invoicing that suits a portfolio and reliable arrival windows |
| The aging-in-place family | "grab bar installation", "handyman for seniors", "home safety modifications" | Worry for a parent, wary of strangers | Clear introductions, background-check language you can support and patient explanations |
| The new homeowner | "home maintenance checklist", "who do I call for house repairs", "local home repair company" | No trusted contractor yet and a lot of unknowns | Local reviews, a friendly first-job pathway and a membership option |
| The out-of-town adult child | "book handyman for my mother", "repair help for parent's house" | Arranging from a distance and wanting proof of work | Photo updates, online booking and a clear billing contact |
Your own job history is a better guide than this table. A company working mostly rentals sees a different mix from one in a retirement area, so we start with your invoices and call notes, not a national guess.

Where the trades split off
This site speaks to the shared problems of home services, meaning companies that serve homeowners across several kinds of work: answering urgent calls, quoting small and mid-size jobs, covering a service area without wasting drive time, collecting reviews and building repeat revenue through maintenance plans. Those problems look much the same whether the van carries a drill set, a ladder and caulk or something heavier.
Some trades are different enough that they have their own sites and their own guides on GetPhound. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, pest control and similar specialties have their own search vocabulary, their own licensing, their own seasons and, in several, their own advertising programs on Google. If you are a licensed specialist, the matching trade guide will go further than this one on keywords and campaign structure. If you run a home services company, a multi-service repair outfit or a property care business that touches many trades at the edges, this is the right starting place.
Licensing is where the category gets tricky. Rules differ by trade and by state, and in many places the work a handyman may do without a contractor license is limited by type, by dollar value or both. We do not interpret those rules. We ask what you are licensed and insured to do, and we write pages and ads that say exactly that, so your marketing never promises work your credentials do not cover. Check with your state or local licensing board for what applies to you. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
Getting started
We learn which services pay best, which ones you would happily stop doing, where you will and will not drive and how your estimates are handled today.
We review how your Google listing, website and reviews look to someone searching from three different neighborhoods in your area.
Usually the order is listing and reviews first, service pages next, then ads for the work that most needs steady volume.
Calls, forms and booked estimates are tracked back to the source, so we can discuss real jobs and not impressions.
You see what we changed, what moved and what we are trying next, in language you would use at the kitchen table.
What it costs
Questions owners ask
It covers both. A solo handyman and a twelve-person multi-trade company share most of the same marketing problems: urgent calls, estimate requests, service-area limits, reviews and repeat work. The plan size and the number of pages differ, but the approach is the same. If your home services company is a licensed specialist in one trade, our trade-specific sites go deeper on that trade.
Plans start at $495 a month for RankGuarantee™ landing pages. Organic Growth SEO, Maps and AI search start at $1,495 a month. Paid ads management is $895 a month for one platform, $1,595 for two and $2,295 for three, with ad spend paid separately to the platform. Nothing is due at the start and there is no agreement to sign.
No, and be cautious of anyone who does. Calls depend on your area, your competition, your reviews, your response speed and your season. We set up tracking so you can see what is working, and we adjust month by month.
That is common and usually smart. We build pages and ads around the places you will genuinely drive to, and we avoid inflating the list with towns you would turn down. Tighter areas often mean better use of your crew's time.
Not always. Silver works with your existing site and focuses on search, the Google listing and reviews. Gold and Platinum include a fully managed custom website. If your current site is weak, we will say so after reviewing it.
We can track leads that come into your phone line, forms and booking tools, and we will go through what your office already uses. We do not replace your scheduling or invoicing systems.
We write what you tell us you hold and ask for proof of it before it appears. We do not interpret licensing rules, which vary by trade and state, so check with your licensing board for what you may advertise.
Paid ads can send calls within days of launch once the account is approved. Search and map improvements take longer, and the pace varies by market. We will not promise a date.
